## Reading and citation

Full passages are present in HTML on weekly or coarse-date reading pages;
JavaScript is not required to read them. Each passage has a permanent
#entry- anchor. Cite its author, original diary date and anchored reading URL.
Diary dates describe the historical source, not this website's publication date.
Month-only and year-only dates retain that precision. Calendar previews are
excerpts; the linked writer and year indexes lead to the full passages.
JSON-LD describes the visible passages, their authors, dates and canonical URLs.
